Just started playing; I always wanted to play this game, but the graphics always turned me off, and the copy I found had all kinds of gripes with Windows XP Pro 64-bit, as well as Windows 7 64-bit. I figured out you can choose badges, and found an old tutorial for badges in Homeworld 2; looks like it works exactly the same way, with the same restrictions:
Create a 'Badges' folder in the main Homeworld Remastered directory, and the badges must have an alpha layer (transparent background), and must be saved as a 256x256 tga file. Bigger ones do not seem to work, but there does not seem to be any restrictions on file size. You cannot, however, compress the tga, or the game does not seem to recognize it.
